Upcoming Kalaupapa Book
A new book of Wayne's photographs of the Hansen's disease settlement at Kalaupapa will be published in 2010. Arizona Museum Association, Publisher. His first book on the settlement, Kalaupapa: A Portrait, published in 1989, has been out of print for several years.
Upcoming Akule Book
A book of Wayne's photographs of Akule (fish schools) is scheduled for publication in May 2010. Editions Limited, publisher.
Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument
Wayne was invited by NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) to photograph in the remote Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument (Northwestern Hawaiian Islands) this past August. A major exhibition of this work will open in July 2010 at the Contemporary Museum at the First Hawaiian Center in Honolulu.
